Include: key vocabulary with definitions, step-by-step teaching sequence, anticipated student questions and answers, and a quick formative assessment idea." ### 9. Include 4 answer options for each, mark the correct answer, and vary the difficulty (4 easy, 4 medium, 2 hard)." --- ## TIPS FOR GETTING THE BEST FROM GEMINI **Tip 1 — Use Gemini where you already work:** The power of Gemini is that it's IN Google Docs, Slides, Classroom, Forms. You don't have to copy-paste — it drafts directly in your document. **Tip 2 — Give it your class context:** Start conversations with: "I'm a [SUBJECT] teacher at a California high school. My students are [GRADE]." Gemini will use that context for the whole conversation. **Tip 3 — Iterate in the same document:** In Google Docs, you can ask Gemini to revise what it just wrote: "Make this shorter" / "Add more detail about [TOPIC]" / "Rewrite this for a struggling reader." **Tip 4 — Verify math outputs:** Gemini can make errors on complex calculations. Always check numerical answers before using in class. **Tip 5 — Free for your school:** If your school uses Google Workspace for Education, Gemini features are included at no cost. Check with your IT department if you don't see the Gemini icon in your Google apps. **Tip 6 — Standards alignment:** Always add "aligned to California Common Core" to any content generation prompt. Gemini will tag your content to the appropriate standards.
